76. WARRIOR

I became a warrior when I turned to myself and began to listen.”

Jeff Foster

The warrior fights the good fight, which is not about personal issues, but about protecting the flame of life. Warriors are gentle and relentless.

Warriors are not distracted or deceived, they wield their sword of clear decisions, defend the defenseless and innocent, and take on the impossible.

In myth, there is usually a hero, a villain, and a victim. Myth is strongly associated with masculinity or a ‘macho’ attitude. It is fitting that in the past men were often raised to be warriors and women to be givers. However, there are also great female warriors in (mythical) history, just think of Athena or Rosa Luxemburg. In order to have equal rights or even a sense of her own identity, every woman has to activate her inner warrior in one way or another.
