41. JOURNALING

Writing is a valuable tool for self-reflection. There are different approaches to how you can best use this medium for yourself. When journaling from Theory U, it is recommended to just start writing. It is more important to get into a flow than to think too much about it. 

You can either write about what is on your mind or answer a specific question, such as “Tell me about an experience where something that happened clarified or changed your sense of who you really are. “What do you want to let go of?” “What do you love?” “Look at yourself from above, like from a helicopter. What do you see?” 

“What in your present life or context is the seed for the future you want to create? Where do you see your future starting?” Sometimes it is also advisable to write regularly, to carry a kind of diary with you, in which you can always jot down notes or key words that will help you to really get to the bottom of things.
