The expulsion from paradise and the parable of the prodigal son are symbols of separation. We also know from modern trauma research that a sense of separation is a major characteristic of trauma. One feels separated from others, from God and the world, and even from oneself. 

If separation is the original injury, then connection is the medicine. If you have drawn this card, it is about the area of connectedness, interaction or sharing. 

Even small actions or steps that create a sense of connectedness or togetherness are essential for your own well-being or the success of the common project. Even if you can’t overcome the feeling of separation, but you notice that you are missing the connection, you have already taken a big step.
