Being open and available prepares the ground for authentic perception. Presence that is ready and open is attractive. Life flows into an open heart like water into a deepening, bringing all that is needed. 

The will alone often cannot open the most delicious doors, and sometimes they close even tighter. Openness is a movement of the heart. In the stream of events, there are always things that we close ourselves to. Sometimes this is good and sometimes it is not. 

We learn in situations where something wants to shut us down and we still choose to be open. It is like fists slowly letting go of what they are holding onto and opening up to the mysteries of life. When life recognizes an open heart, it cannot resist. Nothing is more seductive.
