15. NON-JUDGEMENT

When exploring a situation, it is helpful to be non-judgmental. It is advisable to adopt the attitude of a scientist who examines things phenomenologically. 

Dividing things into right or wrong, good or bad, tends to cloud a clear view of the nature of things. Awareness is also most effective when a non-judgmental attitude is adopted. 

In Buddhism it is said to let the ‘sun of awareness shine on things’. With such an open attitude and mind, it is possible to truly perceive what is present in our lives.
