52. WILLINGNESS

As long as there is a lack of willingness, change is not possible. It takes this inner agreement, coupled with the will to do something, to overcome the moment of inertia and positively influence the course of the game.

Readiness is the smallest movement toward change. Suppose you were in a dark room where you couldn’t see anything. The darkness might become so overwhelming that you give up. However, as soon as you become willing to look for the light switch, this would create a movement toward a solution.

When you can no longer accept the given situation or certain aspects of yourself, change is needed. The mere desire to change is still too passive, but when the willingness to change arises, change begins.
