30. CONFIDENCE

Everything will work out in the end. And if it’s not all right yet, it’s not the end.”

Oscar Wilde

Confidence is a positive attitude, a firm belief that life means well. But confidence is more than positive thinking. It is about approaching life with the inner conviction that something good can happen even in difficult times.

It does not mean throwing up your hands and letting fate take its course. You can certainly do your best to fulfill your wishes and desires. After that, however, you can confidently let go and leave the details to the intelligence of life.

Confidence also requires the ability to let go of things that are out of your control, and people who cultivate confidence tend to have more positive perceptions. They expect good things to happen, and this positive expectation influences their perception of the world around them.
